Huawei P30, P30 Pro, and P30 Lite smartphones are all set to be launched at an event today in Paris. Huawei's upcoming P30 and P30 Pro smartphones are rumoured to be powered by Kirin 980 SoC. If leaks and rumours are anything to go by, Huawei might also unveil two new smartwatches, a wireless charging pad, and a smart speaker at the launch event.
Appearance and Configuration
Huawei P30Pro will use a hyperboloid design, a pearl screen, and a rear four-shot. This "3+1" lens combination, the main three-shot is "super wide-angle + standard wide-angle high-pixel main camera + telephoto", telephoto A periscope structure has been added, which is said to achieve a maximum zoom effect of 10x.
Display
Huawei P30 screen size is 6.1 inches, P30 Pro screen size is 6.47 inches, resolution is 2340 * 1080; core configuration, both will be equipped with Kirin 980 processor.
Huawei and Samsung were the first companies to introduce smartphones with a hole in the display for the selfie shooter. However, we expect the P30 and P30 Pro to stick to regular waterdrop notches. This means there will be no room for fancy 3D face-scanning tech, seen in the Mate 20 Pro. But similar to the Mates, the vanilla variant is expected to have a flat panel, while the Pro version will come with curved edges.
Memory
In terms of body storage, Huawei P30/P30 Pro is equipped with 8GB+128GB/256GB/512GB three storage specifications, supporting NM micro-storage expansion; battery capacity, Huawei P30 built-in 3650mAh battery, P30 Pro built-in 4200mAh battery.
Selfies are said to be 32 MP, while battery will be 3,650 mAh and 4,200 mAh, respectively, with only the Pro having the fast 40W charging.
Pricing
The price of a flagship is always the talking point around its launch. The base model of the P30 Pro will be under €1,000, but if you want more storage, you’ll have to go above that threshold. We would love to tell you more about the US prices, but the issues between the United States and Huawei are unlikely to get resolved soon.
Colors will be the usual Black and Twilight gradient, but the P30 Pro will also have a Red and Ice White variant, both of which look exciting. We will let you know if they look as great in person as soon as we get to spend some time with them.
