We are always impressed by the smooth operation of a new smartphone . As time goes by, however, it will become slower. So this article will tell you the reasons behind that and give you the solution.

The reasons behind the increasingly slower operation of cell phone

Most people suffer from the low speed of operation of the device especially Android users. This phenomenon can be explained by a combination of factors, one of which is security risks in the operating system.

At present, there are lots of apps with viruses on the mobile phone app platform. Since we are not specialists, it is hard for us to identify those defective apps. Moreover, these apps can start automatically in the background, thus slowing down the operation speed of the cell phone.

Another reason lies in the insufficient memory of mobile phone. Nowadays, the memory of cell phone can be up to 256G even 512G, which seems enough to put whatever we want in it, but it can still fall short of our expectation because we will download and put more and more into our phone.

The third reason, which is also the most important is that as we use the phone for a long period of time, it will generate a variety of trash such as cache files, taking up the memory of the phone. If you fail to clean up them regularly, your phone or other device operation will inevitably become slow.

Moreover, when the phone is running, it will inevitably download something which is difficult to delete completely. So there will be more and more trash inside your phone.

How To Speed Up Android Phone

It will become easier to break this dilemma when we figure out the reasons. In general, there are three ways out of this.

NO.1 Exit the program correctly and clean up regularly

When the program has finished running, pressing BACK or HOME is not closing the program, rather, it is have it run in the background, which will not not only occupy CPU but also mobile phone memory. If not closed, it will waste the power as well as slowing down the speed of operation.

Only by closing it in time can we release the storage it occupy. Some apps or programs will exhibit whether to exit or not by pressing BACK, if not, you can go to MENU to find the exit option.

Please note that even though you have closed it manually, there is still some residual process which taking up the memory. In this case, you can enforce it to stop. Open the menu can choose Settings and then go to applications, where you can find all the apps and background service that is running. So you can close those unnecessary process.

NO.2 Clean up the trash regularly

Though mobile phone hardware performance is the top factor of the slow speed of the operation, as we had mentioned above, the longer we use mobile phone, the more trash it will create, including chats history from social media a few months ago and online music caching.

So we should make the most of the built-in cleaning function of mobile phone to clear the garbage on a regular basis, leaving more storage space for the phone and ease the pressure on the phone.

NO.3 The ultimate approach, reset your phone

When all the approaches have been tried while there is still no sign of being better, you can consider to restore the factory settings.

Open the phone’s settings menu and find the “Reset” to restore the factory settings. All apps, information and contacts will be erased and the phone will be restored to the state when it was just bought. So you must have all your precious data backed up before resetting.

How to Speed Up iPhone

Due to the nature of iOS system, the background program will close automatically when it is not used for a long time, thus releasing the memory. The app will not run automatically, therefore, the methods for speeding up Android is invalid on iPhone.

But don’t worry, this can be solved by two ways, one is to restore all settings, the other is to erase all content and settings, both of which can be found in “Settings”>”General”>”Reset”.

Restore all settings will not delete any existing content, instead, it will just restore some of your previous settings to the factory state such as wallpaper, network setting, etc, so this feature will speed up the operation to a large extent.

There are always solutions to the slowing operation, whether it is for Android or iOS. But developing a good habit of using phone is of great importance such as cleaning up the memory in time, stop self-starting apps and remove residual trash. Only in that way can you bring out the potential of the phone.
